Heb. 12:1-2 “Looking Unto Jesus”
Heb. 12:1-2 includes three principles that are key to Christian living.
The first is repentance, which means to change our mind, evidenced by laying aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us. The second is surrender, voluntarily submitting ourselves to God and His will, running with endurance the race that is set before us. The third is trust, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
Without faith it is impossible to be saved (Eph. 2:8-9). Without faith it is impossible to please God (Heb. 11:6). My encouragement is that you make sure that you have trusted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, and that repentance, surrender, and trust are integral parts of your life daily. Please let me know if I can help you do either. Have a great day!
Heb. 12:1-2 “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
