Mt. 6:20 “Treasures in Heaven”

 

On my grandfather’s tomb is this inscription. “Only one life, ’twill soon be past; only what’s done for Christ will last.” Laying up treasures in heaven rather than just living for the here and now just makes sense.

 

Today I preach my third funeral in nine days. Ray Faile loved God, loved God’s Word, and loved to tell people about Jesus. He was convinced that trusting Christ as Savior is the only way to heaven. I believe that Ray Faile spent a lifetime laying up treasures in heaven, and I want to make sure I do the same. What about you?
