Thoughts
-
We have finished the first half of 50 Days of Purpose. So far we have spent most of our time on God’s priority of telling people about Jesus. We see examples throughout the Bible, but one of my favorites is found in Luke 2. The shepherds hear from the angel “good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.” Then they go to Bethlehem to find the baby Jesus lying in a manger. After they find Jesus, they do what all of us are supposed to do. They go everywhere telling people about what they had heard and seen, even though people marveled and some probably thought they were crazy.
-
We are fortunate to live in a country where the gospel of Jesus Christ is available readily. Most of us have heard about Jesus dying on the cross and rising again. Most of us have chosen to trust Jesus Christ as Savior. It is now our responsibility to go and tell. The world is full of bad news. We have some good news to share with people around us and people all over the world. Are we excited about Jesus, like the shepherds were? Are we telling people about Jesus, and are we praising Him for what He has done for us?
