Questions
-

1 Corinthians 1:18-25
-
Luke 24:13-27
Thoughts
-
The answer to the above question should involve Jesus and the cross. Our focus needs to be on gospel, the good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose again so that we can spend eternity in heaven if we believe in Him. The primary concentration is not on rules and regulations but on relationship. In 1 Corinthians 1:23 Paul says “we preach Christ crucified”. The message might seems like foolishness to the world around us, but our focus is on Jesus.
-
Even the Old Testament talks a lot about Jesus. On the road to Emmaus with two disciples shortly after His resurrection, Jesus shared with them about Himself using the Old Testament. In Luke 24:26-27 He said, “Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” Then “beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.”
-
When we think about leading people to Jesus, the message is indeed Jesus. He is the one who said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
