1 John 1:3-4 “Life Shared”

This is day 8 of 40 Days to Easter. We are now on week number two, focusing on Jesus and the difference He can make in our lives. He offers eternal and abundant life, which we can experience through faith (Jn. 3:16; 10:10). When we experience Jesus, our responsibility is to share that experience with others. Notice how the apostle John talked about how the disciples experienced Jesus and then shared Him with others in 1 Jn. 1:1-4, seen below.

“That which was from the beginning, [EXPERIENCE] which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— the life was manifested, and [SHARE] we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— [EXPERIENCE] that which we have seen and heard [SHARE] we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. [SHARE] And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.”

Jesus also communicated this expectation in Mt. 4:19 when He said, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” When we have a relationship with Jesus Christ, we need to share with others. Have a great day!
