Thoughts
-
Not only should we be disciples who lead people to Jesus, learn God’s word. and love God’s people, but we also need to live for God’s glory. As we saw yesterday, Daniel lived his life in such a way that God was glorified. In Matthew 5:16 Jesus says, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
-
We can also glorify God through praising Him. In Psalm 50:23 the Psalmist writes, “Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.” The good conduct is mentioned again, and God is glorified indeed when we live according to His will. But offering praise to God brings Him glory as well.

David puts this truth into practice in Psalm 100. In verse 4 David says, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.” I encourage you to read Psalm 100 and express your gratitude and praise to God.
