Thoughts

According to Paul in 2 Corinthians 3:18, as we behold the Lord Jesus Christ, we become more like Him. I believe that when we behold Jesus, focus on Him, worship Him, and praise Him, that glorifies God. As we become more like Jesus, that glorifies God too. In Matthew 5:16, Jesus makes that clear. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Actually, as we behold Jesus in all His glory, we reflect His glory more and more.

It all goes back to the priorities of relationship, transformation, and impact. As we behold Jesus Christ (relationship), we become more like Him (transformation), to the glory of God (impact). As our light shines before men, they are impressed with God as we give Him the glory in humility. Paul referred to the Corinthian believers themselves as epistles, known and read by all men (2 Corinthians 3:2). Again the concept is that others can see Jesus in us. So no matter what we do, we should do all to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
