Mark 16:15 “Preaching the Gospel”

Mark 16:15 “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples by going, baptizing, and teaching to observe His commandments. The first step is to go, to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, to leave our comfort zone and venture out into a world where many do not know the good news about Jesus. We cannot go everywhere by ourselves, but all of us can go somewhere, to the grocery store, to the park, to the ballgame, and lead people to Jesus as we are going. And we can support through prayer and giving those who might go a little further than we can.
The message is the gospel, the bad news that we deserve to spend eternity apart from God because of our sin, and the good news that while we are yet sinners Christ died for us. Through faith in Christ and what He did on the cross, we can have everlasting life.
God loves everybody in the world, and He wants us to go and tell. Are we intentional about introducing people to Jesus?

- Pray the following: “Lord, am I as committed as I should be to lead people to Jesus? I know I can do a better job with your help. Please help me to be more intentional about sharing the good news as you give opportunity. In Jesus’ name. Amen!”
